Hello, all!
The Rugby World Cup has been something of a disappointment while the international break looms (I can hear you sighing).
I thought I’d share a few proud moments for myself over the past few weeks. Firstly, I was given a line of credit in the Arsenal vs Stoke City programme at the Emirates on September 12th, there’s a picture below. I went to the Arsenal media office for a day in August where I helped prepare the programme. It was fascinating and only confirmed my desire to leave the relaxing life of a normal job and be a sports journalist.
Then, at the start of October, I spoke to former-Manchester United goalkeeper, now Burnley captain and England international Tom Heaton. Having meant to speak for ten minutes or so, myself and Tom ended up chatting on the phone for more than half an hour, such was the interest I had for what he was saying. You can read the full interview article here on VAVEL UK. In a few weeks, I’ll be publishing the full transcript right here.
Not only did I get to interview an incredibly nice man in Tom Heaton, but after tagging the official England football team Twitter account in the tweeting out of the interview, the official Football Association site picked up the interview and produced an article from my quotes (here).
Anyway, enjoy the international break, my tip is to avoid watching England.
